The DKTE institute in Ichalkaranji is all set sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hof University in Germany. According to the proposed MoU, three students from the institute will visit the Germany-based university for higher education every year.
Both the educational institutions will also indulge in knowledge sharing for various advanced research projects. A team of delegates from Hof University had recently visited DKTE institute to discuss the proposed MoU.
P V Kadole, principal of DKTE, said, "Various textile firms abroad are in search of talent in the field. We need to provide a perfect platform for the students as well as professionals, who are in search of talented people."
According to DKTE officials, the institute has also planned a joint academic curriculum between the two institutes. Under the plan, a student will study for two years in DKTE and complete his/her remaining two years in Hof University. "With the proposed MoU, at least three students will get a chance to study in Germany every year. Both the universities are willing to start exchange of students from the next academic year," an official said.
The DKTE institute had earlier signed MoUs with educational institutes in the US, China, and Australia.
