70 % of Frankfurt’s children are of immigrant origin

Here are some rather worrying statistics. Frankfurt is Germany’s immigration capital. 43% of its inhabitants have a immigration background. This means they are either immigrants or have parents or grandparents who are not from Germany.
Among children below 6 years of age the proportion of those of immigrant origin is as high as 70%. Those with an immigration background have a significantly lower record of employment.
